Graduating from VVIT as an engineer and a fashion designer from Hamstech, Sahana Koliparthi launched her art and customized gifts business Fashionpop_arts in 2020 to help people create beautiful gifts for their loved ones on special occasions. In conversation with GoodIntake, she speaks on how her career has switched from an engineer to a designer and then an artist who helps people unfold bundles of joy and fun amongst their loved ones.
Sahana Koliparthi, a young girl from Kanigiri in Andhra Pradesh, has started her art business, Fashionpop_arts and turned it into her full-time profession, helping her lead an independent life while also following her passion.
The blissful beginning of the entrepreneurial art journey
The seeds of art were sown into Sahana’s brain pretty early during her school days, “Whenever I am bored listening to the classes, all I do is create a beautiful design or an art from my surroundings that got me back on track of anything I do”exclaims Sahana when asked about her foundation.
Sahana always knew that a part of her always loves to make anything look beautiful. This ardent interest in art and beauty later pushed her to stand firm and convinced her parents to pursue fashion designing from Hamstech after her graduation.

“At Hamstech, I got the opportunity to lay a strong foundation for my creative skills and learn fashion designing from scratch. Apart from the numerous learnings, I have also worked with a few models to help them get ready for their ramp walks. I felt I was on the top of the world when my model walked the aisle with my styling tips”.
Amidst the lockdown hurdles and chaos..
After her fashion designing, the lockdown hit the country, and she was stuck at home doing nothing. But, as is always said,” You can never take away art from an artist” on a boring lockdown day sitting at home and reminiscing her memories from Hamstech, Sahana shared her design works and was awed by the response compliments received from friends and known contacts. She felt overwhelmed and instantly sensed an obscured strength in her art that goes beyond the ongoing hurdles.
Then she started her own Instagram page, Fashionpop_arts, wherein she shared all her design illustrations and favorite arts. Today, the same page flourished as an art business that sells different customized crafts.
“For me my arts are not just the paintings but the stories of my customers who would love to gift their loved ones on special occasions, till date I have earned around hundred loyal customers and I can’t wait to see what this journey as an art entrepreneur unfolds .”, says Sahana feeling ecstatic about her art journey so far
Etching the Memories on Canvas
It all started when a close friend of mine asked if I could draw a customized illustration of their new home. With zero hesitation but being cent percent dubious, I said yes. After giving it a lot of thought, I felt nothing in any Indian home is as beautiful as the home itself. It instantly sounded like a plan of bliss and was a sure hit till date. I painted many canvas boards of different sizes for various occasions for my clients.

Tying the Knots on the Frame of Life: Customized Wedding Hoops and Save the Date Cards
“India is a country rich in heritage, culture and traditions, said the famous Priyanka Chopra recently in an interview, and that seemed pretty influential on Sahana ever since she began FashionpopArts. Hailing from a close-knit Hindu family that values the traditions and to whom marriage is a celebration of life, this young girl is now trying the wedding knots with her art. “I have introduced save the date wedding invitations and embroidery hoops to etch the love blossomed between many couples. Orders started pouring in for this very idea of helping young couples indulge in love with my save the date cards and embroidery hoops.”

“Every second, minute and hour of life seems to be beautiful when I paint. To me, art is always the right direction to get lost. That one product that symbolizes my very motto of being an artist is the ocean resin clocks. The clocks are made on canvas boards with an amalgam of different resin items and beautiful pasture colors. I firmly believe that whoever looks at them will always be filled with a hope that every time is right to something which has an impactful purpose driving us all forward.”
So far, Sahana has worked on over ( orders number info)customized orders. Going forward, she is planning to expand her art services to fashion illustrations and also an art cum designing boutique to cater various gifting requirements in her niche.
