Jinal Inamdar: TEDx speaker, content creator, and filmmaker of Talkin Travel about her journey of integrating travel, creativity, and storytelling via her digital channels.

The Dubai-based traveler and founder of Talkin Travel returns to India for her graduation which later fueled a passion to narrate  authentic travel stories while also exhibiting each place’s inner creativity and beauty, thus broadening people’s horizons of accepting every Indian culture, tradition, and various people across the country.

Indian culture is truly unique, and it is a blend of various languages, religions and traditions. This extravaganza of inherent love and natural beauty is something everyone resides with but does not feel fortunate. To eliminate these obscure wrecked emotions of the deserving serene land is why I stepped in to follow my passion as a travel filmmaker and vlogger.

“ I always want to be recognized and loved  by people in anything I do. When I returned to India from Abu Dhabi to pursue my graduation, it wasn’t easy to absorb everything around me. Eventually, I started to love the land, people, and vibe which also made me realise that people were not enjoying the inherent beauty of what they reside in. Those were also the days when my hobby of photography got stronger and I knew that it’s my obscure passion. This was exactly when I thought of unravelling the true potential of Indian heritage to the people via my youtube channel Talkin Travel while also following my passion of filming landscapes and sceneries” Jinal says.

The early days were quite dubious

Jinal was born in Oman and brought up in Abu Dhabi till her 12th grade. Later she migrated to India to pursue her passion. Having her masters in Multimedia  journalism, Jinal started her career as a business news reporter covering news on various verticals like real estate, stock market, annual budget,etc.. But, somehow, down the line, she knew that this was not something that was channelizing her synergies as a lot of her skills were left a surplus. She was under relentless desire to identify her passion that aligns with her interest and she decided to get into travel space.

One Instagram post and tada !! It’s an excellent omen for Talkin Travel.

One fine day, Jinal posted a random Instagram post that went viral and received an outstanding response. Gradually, she saw herself taking her love for photography quite seriously and began posting on Insta quite often. This garnered her a lot of love and great response and Jinal knew that her passion is reaching the digital audience with the right kind of content. This passion later took shape as Talkin Travel, wherein she narrated beautiful travel stories and films.

“ When I click a picture or go to a place, it is just not a shoot, but it is the behind story that matters. As I see it, Talkin Travel has always been and will be a way to capture those beautiful faces, cultures, and true portraits in different languages and cultures. All these memories I create, and infinite experiences I take back home have become many genuine travel films now”, says Jinal

For a traveller, places are the biggest role models

When asked about her inspiration to travel, Jinal mentioned that her inspiration comes from places themselves, proving that she is a traveller by heart. I always feel like I was born to explore and meet different people on my journey to various places. She is invested in travel to an extent where she doesn’t even keep track of the number of places visited so far.

“ It is always the experiences I make, the moments I collect to cherish, the people I meet to acknowledge the universal language of togetherness that every human, plants and animals try to convey. I have interacted with many people across the country and made many friends on each journey. Every trip, I make at least five new friends irrespective of age, gender, race, etc.. For me, that is the most significant milestone as a content creator,“ says Jinal

Encouragement is keen

Family is the biggest support to anyone, according to Jinal. Especially being a female solo traveler can be quite hard sometimes. In such cases, Jinal’s  family has always had her back. . They support her to move an inch closer to her dreams everyday and are the biggest cheerleaders, genuine audience, constructive critics when it comes to watching her grow as a creator. The first photo Jinal shot was from a Nikon 5300 camera gifted by her father. She started her journey as she clicked pictures of family outings when they spent some quality time at beaches and famous places. From then till today, she never looked back.

Countless places, hangouts and people

When asked about the number of places she has travelled to, Jinal exclaimed “ Counting the places is never my cup of tea. Every hour I hang out with the people along my journey will never be erased from my brain, and I treat the time spent with numerous people as splendid treasures that I would tell stories about every day I live. I feel quite heavy on articulating how travel and life are related because both are the same, and I am immensely fortunate to wake up to my passion every day.”
